10th anniversary of the Abeno Harukas art museum
Hiroshige is highly regarded for having established the genres of landscape paintings and paintings of flowers and birds in the world of ukiyo-e prints, in the same way as Hokusai.
Hiroshige is well known and popular as an ukiyo-e artist of national and world renown, but no comprehensive exhibition has been held in recent years. We will therefore take a comprehensive look at his career from his early years to his later years.
As well as reaffirming the greatness of Hiroshige's work, we will also be presenting some fascinating and little-known works.
We will present Hiroshige's total image and reconstruct it.
